For FY 2024-25, the EPF interest rate is 8.25% per annum. Interest is calculated monthly on the opening balance and credited annually.

You can withdraw full PF after retirement (age 58) or after 2 months of unemployment. Partial withdrawals are allowed for specific purposes like marriage, home purchase, medical emergency, etc.

PF withdrawal is tax-free if you have completed 5 years of continuous service. If withdrawn before 5 years, it's taxable as per your income tax slab. Employer contribution and interest on it are taxable under new tax regime.
